CCT welcomes maiden call of Iran's new 6,500-TEU Fifth Ocean

Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT) in Shenzhen recently welcomed the first call of the 6,500-TEU Fifth Ocean, a vessel of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Shipping Line (IRISL) on its PCL service between the Far East and the Persian Gulf.

The vessel, with a length of 304 metres and draught of 14 metres, arrived at CCT in the evening of March 30 and departed in the morning of the next day when it was loaded with 6,201 TEU, a statement of CCT said.

Operation of the vessel and the PCL service of IRISL at CCT is handled by H&T Int'l Transportation Ltd, the general agent of IRISL in south China and Hong Kong region, the statement added.
