Philippines' ICTSI to spend US$283 million on container terminals in nine countries

International Container Terminal Services in the Philippines has announced coming expenditures of US$283.7 million for container terminals in nine countries.

The proposal will expand domestic and foreign port container movement with the money coming from internally generated funds said a statement from the Manila-based company.

Major cargo handling equipment will be accessed for the ports in the Philippines, Poland, Brazil, Madagascar, Ecuador, China, Syria, Georgia and Colombia.

A lot of the terminal work will involve extensive land reclamation, dredging of new berths and dredging of new wharfs.
