INTTRA takes e-commerce solutions to Thailand

2008-2-14

Global provider of e-commerce solutions to ocean carriers, INTTRA, has appointed Todsapol Lertpanitboon to become the new country manager in Thailand tasked with providing permanent support for INTTRA's e-commerce shipping customers.

Mr Lertpanitboon is posted in Bangkok on Srinakarin Road. "INTTRA, which has more than 240,000 container orders initiated on the platform each week globally, representing almost 10 per cent of global container trade, has been active in Thailand since the company's inception in 2000," said Paul Stephen, INTTRA managing director for Asia Pacific.

Mr Stephen said that since INTTRA's "carrier partners have promoted the use of INTTRA's services with success," INTTRA is "now able to establish our own presence to further support this growing market. Thailand's export community is showing an increasing desire to use e-commerce, and we look forward to supporting both exporters and our carrier partners in 2008."

New Jersey-based INTTRA expects Thailand to be one of INTTRA's key markets in southeast Asia given its emphasis on global trade and the large number of local and foreign companies in the country, increasing numbers of which are adopting business-to-business e-commerce solutions.
