Hamburg container volume up 12 per cent in first 11 months

The Port of Hamburg's first 11 months' container throughput stood at 9.1 million TEU, a year-on-year increase of 12.7 per cent, reported Seanews.

In the same period, containers movement between Hamburg and Baltic ports grew by 22.6 per cent to 1.2 million TEU. In January-November 2007 container transport between Hamburg and Russia increased by 130,000 TEU year on year, reported the St Petersburg news agency.
