The government of Galicia in Spain set up a stand in the recent Asian International Transport and Logistics Exhibition (SITL Asia 2007) in Shanghai to promote Port of Ferrol to visitors from all around the world.
As the major port for export in Galicia, Port of Ferrol has a capacity of over 10,000 TEU with a quay length of 1,515 metres and a depth of 20 metres.
Galicia is located on the Atlantic coast. Its favourable geographical position has made it a hub on the "European Sea Expressway" connecting Europe to Asia, US and Africa. Galicia has invested EUR220 million (US$320.6 million) on its ports in 2007.
