Far Eastern Shipping Company (Fesco) has taken delivery of a new 1,080-TEU containership built by the Jingling Shipyard in Nanjing.

The new Anadyr is the fifth vessel in a series of six ships being built for Fesco at the Jingling Shipyard. The Fesco Anadyr is equipped with 220 reefer plugs, two 40-ton capacity electro-hydraulic cranes and has an automated "no-man" engine room, reports The Vladivostok Times.

The newbuild reportedly raises the present size of the Russian shipping line's fleet to 25 vessels with a total container capacity of 23,406 TEU. Fesco's fleet currently services the trade between North America, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
