Transport Minister leads Singapore team to IMO Assembly in London

Transport Minister Raymond Lim is leading a Singapore delegation to the 25th International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Assembly in London from 19 to 23 November.

A Transport Ministry statement said Singapore would be seeking re-election into the IMO Council for an eighth term.

While in London, Mr Lim will meet with UK Secretary of State for Transport, Ruth Kelly, and his counterparts from other IMO member countries.

Mr Lim and Ms Kelly will also sign the recently concluded Singapore-United Kingdom Open Skies Agreement (OSA).

The minister will be accompanied by officials from his ministry, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
