In October, 2007, Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC handled 189,440 tonnes of cargo (+48%, year-on-year), the port's press center reports. In the reported period, the port handled 72,700 tonnes of coal (+237.14%, year-on-year). Transshipment of oil totaled 36,000 tonnes; cement - 24,400 tonnes; off-corn - 20,800 tonnes. Transshipment of steel and pipes fell by 16.4% to 9,020 tonnes and by 61.9% to 2,300 tonnes respectively. Transshipment of containerized cargo made 168.4% against the results of the previous year (4,468 TEU).
