Kherson Shipyard (Ukraine) delivers service vessel to Myklebust Prosjekt AS (Norway)

Myklebust Prosjekt AS (Norway) has taken delivery of service vessel ASSO VENTINOVE from Kherson Shipyard OJSC (Ukraine), Ukrinform reports according to Ukraine Industrial. It is the head vessel of the series.

The characteristics of m/v ASSO VENTINOVE are as follows: the vessel is designed to render services to Offshore Drilling Platforms; she can provide with all necessary components for the drilling process as well as handle anchor operations. The length - 70 m, the width - 17 m, the depth - 7.5 m. According to Vasili Fedin, Director General of Kherson Shipyard, the order had been valued at $5 million.

According to Mr. Fedin, Kherson Shipyard cooperates with Norwegian, Spanish, Dutch and Russian companies. Theyard is fully booked for 2008. As for 2009, it is booked for 80%, 2010 - for 50%-60%. The yard is currently working with 15-16 shipbuilding orders and 18-20 shiprepair orders. The fourth hull of reefer series, under construction now also for Norway, is on the building berth position. She has a 99.9 % of completeness. The company's production output for 9 months of a.c. made UAH 163.7 million, which is 20 % higher in comparison with similar period of the last year.

The production workers' average salary in September is UAH 2521.
