WCA invites Asian countries to bid
POSTED: 4:52 p.m. EDT, May 25,2007

WCA Family of Logistic Networks is inviting Asian cities to bid for the chance to become what its founder calls the “perfect venue” for the next several years, partly due to the fact that WCA’s main office is in the region, partly that so much of current and future international trade is based in the region, partly that delegates worldwide enjoy coming to Asia and are able to experience good value for their conference fees and travel costs.

WCA conferences, which consist of two separate events, the WCA Family Annual Conference Week and the Sino-International Annual Freight Forwarders’ Conference, now attract close to 2,500 delegates.

For the past five years, Thailand has hosted WCA Family conferences. In February 2007, WCA Family held the WCA Family Annual Conference Week at the Royal Cliff Beach complex in Pattaya.

The Sino event is co-organised with CIFA (the China International Freight Forwarders’ Association), with the co-operation and approval of the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC. The fourth annual meeting is in Guangzhou, June 3-7, 2007, using the renovated Dongfang Hotel facilities. The conference attracts close to 2500 delegates.

Conferences include pre-event golf and sightseeing programs, gala dinner, cocktail receptions. The conferences are not like conventional ones, but promises person to person contact.
