Newcomer H&H expands Indian ocean service network
POSTED: 8:45 a.m. EDT, June 1,2007
H&H LINES Ltd, a subsidiary of Dubai-based Hull & Hatch Logistics group, earlier this month started a new container shipping service, connecting the UAE, the Red Sea, East Africa and the Indian subcontinent.

This development comes after H&H Lines first entered liner shipping to move containers in 2006 when it co-operated on a service offered by Mega Lines, linking Dubai to Karachi. Up until this time, H&H had been providing freight forwarding services as an NVOCC, reports AXS-Alphaliner News.

The new service calls at the ports of Jebel Ali, Hodeidah, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Mumbai, Nhava Sheva, Mundra and Karachi.

The service is expected to deploy ships ranging in size from 1,200 - 1,500 TEU. In addition to this, H&H has been providing a container shipping service, linking the UAE, Karachi and Kandla, using the 580-TEU Comorin Pride since the start of this year.
