Kimberly-Clark, the global consumer goods brand, has awarded DSC Logistics, a US supply chain management company, the logistics centre management of a new mixing centre in Redlands, California, and a new Logistics Center in Romeoville, Illinois.
At DSC's new Redlands Logistics Center, Kimberly-Clark will be combining their Consumer and Professional divisions' products, as part of the "Network of the Future" strategy to move away from mill-based DC's into regional mixing centres. DSC will be providing warehousing and custom kitting services, with outbounds to the LA and Southwest US regions.
At DSC's new Romeoville, Illinois, Logistics Center they will be providing warehousing services, as well as WMS technology for Kimberly-Clark's Professional division. In addition to the two new locations, Kimberly-Clark currently occupies space in DSC's Arlington, Texas, Coppell, Texas, Roanoke, Texas, McDonough, Georgia, Des Plaines, Illinois, and Mira Loma, California, Logistics Centers.
