Hactl moves two pandas through airport to new HK home
POSTED: 8:45 a.m. EDT, April 30,2007

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) have safely moved two giant pandas, Le Le and Ying Ying, through the airport, facilitating a fresh start at Hong Kong's Ocean Park.

Arriving from Wolong, Sichuan province in mainland China, the two pandas, travelling in customised containers, were unloaded from a B747-400 freighter onto the cargo apron in front of Hactl's SuperTerminal 1.

Cargo handling and security experts assisted in their transfer to a dedicated vehicle, which left SuperTerminal 1 undisturbed on its way to the animals' new Ocean Park home.

Said Hactl service delivery director Kenneth Bell: "With close co-operation with the government, Ocean Park and airport business partners, we are pleased the entire process was smooth and efficient. Most important, we are happy to see the pandas arrived at their new home safely."
