Emirates Shipping Line Launches New Services - The new AFA service connects the orient to the two major ports in East Africa

Emirates Shipping Line today announced the launch of two new services - the Gulf Indian-Subcontinent Africa Service (GIA) and the Africa Far-east Asia Service (AFA).

The new GIA service offers a direct scheduled weekly service from the Indian Subcontinent & the Middle East to East Africa, providing one of the best transit times to East Africa.

The port rotation of GIA is Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Mombassa, Nhava Sheva.

The new AFA service connects the orient to the two major ports in East Africa, with one of the best transit times from China & Southeast Asia to East Africa.

The AFA serves Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang, Colombo, Dar Es Salaam, Mombasa. This service will use a combination of Emirates Shipping Line’s Hyper Galex service and the AFA service over Colombo

To make these services operationally effective, six vessels of 1100 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed. The service will operate with TS Line as partners, with the latter providing one vessel, and Emirates Shipping Line providing five.
