The Saigon Fuel Transportation Co. Ltd has received a licence to build an inland port complex and container depot within the Cai Lan Industrial Zone in Vietnam's northern coastal province of Quang Ninh.
The 17.5-hectare complex will cost an estimated VND165 billion (US$10 million) to build, according to a report by Vietnam News Agency.
Building work on the port and depot is expected to get underway in the first quarter of the year, and the facilities are expected to begin operations by the end of next year.
The report added that Quang Ninh province has won foreign investment for four out of five infrastructure development projects worth more than US$30 million in the first month of this year.
