Dragonair will offer daily service to the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh from Hong Kong starting February 16, up from five flights a week at present.
"We are boosting the number of frequencies to Phnom Penh to meet the growing demand for travel there," said CEO Kenny Tang. "There was a 20 per cent year-on-year increase in the number of travellers flying with us to Cambodia in 2006, showing that market demand is strong.
The new Dragonair service, flight number KA206, will depart Hong Kong at 0730 hours and arrive in Phnom Penh at 0915 hrs every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. On the return leg, flight KA207, will take off from Phnom Penh at 1000 hrs and land in Hong Kong at 1325 hrs on the same days.
For Saturdays, flight KA206, will depart Hong Kong at 0825 hrs and touch down in Phnom Penh at 1010 hrs. Later the same day, flight KA207, will leave Phnom Penh at 1100 hrs, arriving in Hong Kong at 1425 hrs.
Service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will depart Hong Kong at 1740 hrs, landing in Phnom Penh at 1920 hrs. The return flight, KA207, will take off at 2015 hrs and touch down at 2345 hrs, a company statement said.
