W.e.f. March 2007 Russian Railways JSC intends to open an electronic container exchange. The system has been developed by AED (Latvia) and will be supported by TransTeleCom.

The new solution is expected to speed up concluding deals and simplify the market participants' interaction.

Future development of the system includes introducing track&trace options.
