Continental to offer daily HK-NY service from April

Continental Airlines will start daily non-stop flights from April 1 between Hong Kong and New York Newark Liberty International Airport to meet rising demand.

The carrier currently offers six flights a week on this route.

The additional flight to New York will depart from Hong Kong at 1025 hrs on Tuesdays and arrive at 1405 hrs local time in Newark the same day. The extra flight from New York will take off at 1500 hrs from Newark on Thursdays and touch down in Hong Kong at 1850 hrs the next day.

Continental Airlines together with Continental Express and Continental Connection makes more than 3,100 departures daily throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia, serving 150 domestic and 136 international destinations.

With more than 44,000 employees, Continental has hubs serving New York, Houston, Cleveland and Guam. Along with Continental Express, the airline carries 61 million passengers each year, making it the world's fifth largest carrier.
