FedEx extends cut-off times for Macau-Europe
POSTED: 1:16 p.m. EDT, December 21,2006
FEDEX Express says it has extended its call-in cut-off time in Macau by more than three hours to 1730 hrs for shipments to Europe.

The service is available from Tuesday to Friday for shipments weighing up to 500 kilograms and with a declared value up to MOP5,000 (US$624).

"As the investments and international trade of Macau continue to grow, time-definite and reliable global access has become more crucial for businesses to enhance their competitiveness," said Clifton Chua, managing director, FedEx Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines.

"With our commitment to supporting the growth of our customers and the development of the local economy, FedEx will continue to tailor services that meet our customers' needs as well as support the booming economy."

Macau's Europe export value soared by 212.7 per cent to MOP1.12 billion in the second quarter of 2006, making Europe one of Macau's major export markets, a FedEx release added.
