The International Trade accolade at the Derby Telegraph Business Awards aims to recognise companies which have increased its exports. Robin Johnson speaks to category sponsor PKF Cooper Parry.

THE strongest companies are not just those who sell their goods and services in the UK but across the world.

Getting into exporting is not easy - but many who have dabbled their toes into foreign waters are now reaping the rewards.

Derby is home to a number of companies whose products and expertise are in demand the world over.

It is also home to a number of global companies.

Achieving success on an international scale is something that the Derby Telegraph Business Awards intends to recognise through its International Trade Award.

The company that will be judging this award is the category sponsor - accountancy and business adviser PKF Cooper Parry.

Formerly with an office in Derby, the firm has recently centralised its operations to Castle Donington - close to East Midlands Airport, which is the gateway to overseas markets.

The International Trade Award rewards an organisation that has generated substantial and sustained increases in export activity.

The judges will be tasked with considering all aspects of the winning company, looking at its unique offering and business approach, as well as the level of international trade achieved and the measurable financial results of this.
