OTTAWA, May 13, 2014 /CNW/ - The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual International Trade Day on May 14, 2014. This year, we will discuss what the future may hold for the NAFTA partners. We'll talk about what makes us more competitive and what policies are holding us back
When NAFTA first entered into force, it created the largest trading bloc in the world, setting a valuable example of the benefits to be gained from trade liberalization. Since that time, trade between the NAFTA partners has more than tripled. However, in an increasingly competitive world, we must continue to look for new avenues of growth.
