KPCCI & RCCI to organise International trade expo next month

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) and Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) will jointly hold a three-day International conference and Trade Expo in collaboration with USAID and Ministry of Commerce. The international conference which will be held from April 14 to 16 in Islamabad, aimed at to promote of trade and investment with central Asian states, especially between two-neighbouring Pakistan and Afghanistan.
During the conference it would be prepared concrete proposals, to develop business-to-business contacts and promotion of trade at government levels with Central Asian countries. This was stated during a meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Zahidullah Shinwari at the chamber house on Wednesday. Those who attended the meeting were included Dr Shumail Daud Arayian, president RCCI, A Rauf Chaudhry Kashif, Khurshid Barlaas, KPCCI vice presidents Mohammad Shafiq, Mohammad Taimoor Shah, Honorary Consul General of Tajikistan, Engineer Syed Mehmood and members of executive body KPCCI.
Zahidullah Shinwari, while speaking on the occasion said that the proposed international conference and trade expo, would helpful to promote bilateral trade relations with Central Asian countries. He said the trade-agreements would be signed at official level and would devise a vibrant strategy for resolution of issues of traders and business community of these countries. He said that they would make efforts to enhance volume of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Central Asian countries from $10 to $12billion.
Dr Shumail, president RCCI on the occasion stressed the need for practical implementation of recommendations of members KPCCI, regarding the holding of proposed international mood and trade Expo in Islamabad. He informed the KPCCI had sought support for holding for this mega-trade event, and RCCI will make all out efforts to make the event successful.
On the occasion, the members of KPCCI have suggested various proposals and recommendations for the proposed international conference and Trade expo, and mostly agreed on them, which will have long-lasting impacts of the mega trade event with USAID and Ministry of Commence.
