WASILLA - World Trade Center Alaska will offer a series of focused training sessions aimed at teaching Mat-Su businesses how to succeed in the ever-changing environment of international trade and commerce.
Executive director Greg Wolf will begin teaching the six-class International Trade Boot Camp Series Jan. 31 at Mat-Su Fire Station 61, 101 W. Swanson Ave., Wasilla.
Each session is three hours and costs $50.
Modules include:
• Jan. 31 - "Establishing International Distribution Channels and Market Entry Strategies."
• Feb. 11 - "Using Social Media to Market Your Company."
• Feb. 18 - "Legal Aspects of International Trade."
• March 11 - "Export Financing."
• April 22 - "Doing Business Internationally: China (Alaska’s No.1 export market) and Emerging Markets."
World Trade Center Alaska, together with Alaska Export Assistance Center and other community and business partners, developed the International Trade Boot Camps Series, which was offered for the first time in Anchorage during the summer of 2013.
Now the group, in partnership with the Mat-Su Borough, Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union and the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, is offering the training in the Valley for the first time.
