DHL Supply Chain appoints new managing director for Malaysia

Germany's DHL, a leading global logistics company, has announced the appointment of Prakash Rochlani as managing director of DHL Supply Chain Malaysia, reporting to DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific CEO Oscar de Bok.
"Malaysia is one of our key markets in this region. Prakash will take our Malaysian business into its next phase of accelerated growth and operational development," said Mr de Bok.
Said Mr Rochlani: "We will focus our efforts on ensuring we lead the innovation and a green agenda for our customers, expanding and developing our sectors, with a strong focus on developing our people."
Mr Rochlani joined Al Futtiam Exel joint venture in the Middle East in 2003, and then was a Operations and Solutions Design manager before becoming director of business development for India in 2008.
In 2011, he was promoted to vice president business development, South and South East Asia. He is a graduate from the University of Mumbai, holds a certificate in Supply Chain from APICS, and is working towards an MBA.
The division employs 1,500 people in 25 locations in Malaysia. DHL is part of Deutsche Post DHL. The group generated EUR55 billion (US$74.7 billion) in revenue in 2013, according to Shipping Gazette.
