Brunswick Rail, a Russian private freight railcar operating lessor, will provide Transgarant, a privately owned rail freight operator and part of FESCO Group, with new platform cars for transporting large capacity containers.
Under the terms of the agreement, Brunswick Rail will provide 500 eighty-foot model 23-469-07 and 13-9751-01 container platform cars on a long-term operating lease. The railcars were produced by the Metallokonstruktsy factory and Transmash in 2013-2014.
Transgarant Executive Director Alexey Barbariush said: "The rolling stock will be used in projects to establish high-speed container freight traffic as a part of FESCO Group's plans to increase its market share in the container freight segment. Successful cooperation between our companies is extremely important, and given our long-term relationship, we can confidently proceed with our investment programmes."
