Southern Railway (SR) has rescheduled and diverted trains due to operational reasons as follows: Train 16518 Kannur -Yesvanthpur (via Mangalore Central) express scheduled to leave Kannur at 4.30pm on May 6 is rescheduled to leave Kannur at 2.50am on May 7. Train 16348 Thiruvananthapuram -Mangalore Central express scheduled to leave at 8.40pm on May 6 is rescheduled to leave Thiruvanathapuram at 3am on May 7.
Train 12620 Mangalore Central - Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Matsyagandha express scheduled to leave Mangalore Central at 2.35pm on May 7 is rescheduled to leave Mangalore Central at 7.30pm on May 7. Train 16524 Karwar - Mangalore Central express scheduled to leave Karwar at 2.40pm on May 6 is rescheduled to leave Karwar at 8pm on May 6 and will be attached with train 16518 at Kannur and leave Kannur at 2.50am on 07.5.2014.
Train 16524 Karwar-Yesvantpur express will stop at Mangalore junction and leave at 11.50pm; Mangalore Central at 12.25am on May 7; Kasargod at 1.07am; Kanhangad at 1.25am; and Payyanur at 1.52am. The combined train will stop at Kozhikode departing there at 4.10am; Shoranur at 5.35am, and Palakkad at 6.25am. This train will run via Kozhikode, Shoranur, Palakkad, Erode, Salem and Hosur and reach Yesvantpur.
Train 16517/16523 Yesvantpur-Kannur/Karwar express leaving Yesvantpur on May 6 will run via Hosur, Salem and Palakkad. The coaches of train 16517 Yesvantpur - Kannur express, will be detached at Kannur, while the train will proceed with remaining coaches as train 16523 Mangalore- Karwar express to Karwar, with stops at Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.
