The European Pallet Association e. V. (EPAL) extends an invitation to the first pallet symposium in Hungary on the 5th June 2014. The industry meeting at the Marriott Hotel in Budapest is aimed at logistics experts, pallet manufacturers and repair organisations, as well as users from trade and industry. The focus of the symposium lies on the quality of EPAL Euro pallets.
The event will be opened by Martin Leibrandt, CEO of EPAL, who will talk in his lecture of the development and significance of the largest open pallet exchange pool for the Hungarian economy.
Further speakers include Joachim Buerhop, Commercial Manager Transport & Logistics Services from Bureau Veritas. With its unannounced inspections, the independent audit company guarantees the quality of the exchangeable EPAL pallets. EPAL Euro pallets are produced and repaired by licensed companies according to strict uniform criteria.
The symposium provides an insight into the latest strategies against pallet counterfeits. Furthermore Dr. Volker Lange - head of packaging and trade logistics, AutoID and RFID at the Fraunhofer Institute - will reveal an innovative technology for the automated logging of Euro pallets. Karmazin György from Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management will inform attendees of the effects of the growing goods flows on the environment and provide an overview of the cargo carrier of the future.
"This first pallet users day is a meeting for the entire industry. The symposium will provide information on the latest topics and trends, offer an opportunity for networking and promote the exchange of experiences. At the same time, the pallet day is a decisive step towards an even stronger positioning of the EPAL Euro pallet on the Hungarian market", says Martin Leibrandt, CEO of EPAL.
