Vietnam road and port projects to be funded by ODA package

Vietnam's government has secured an ODA (Overseas Development Agency) financial support package worth US$844.95 million (JPY 86.4 billion) for four infrastructure projects in the country. A Total of $179.75 million (JPY 18.4 billion) of the package will go to Ho Chi Minh City-Dau Giay Highway that is scheduled for completion in July 2016, while another $165.1 million (JPY 16.9 billion) is allocated for Tan Vu-Lach Huyen Road, set to open in early 2017.
Additionally, some $293.07 million (JPY 30 billion) will be spent on Da Nang-Quang Ngai Highway - earmarked to open in July 2017. The remaining $205.15 million (JPY 21 billion) will go to Lach Huyen Port, due to be commissioned in December 2017. Funds from the ODA package will be disbursed by the government of Japan through the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA).
