South Eastern Railway (SER) has achieved the best ever cargo loading on a single day on March 20, surpassing previous records.
SER sources said that on this day, the zonal railway loaded 7,191 wagons surpassing its previous record of loading of 6,753 wagons achieved on February 22, 2013.
The sources said, the average loading of wagons per day upto March 20 this month has been 5,718.5 as against 5,273.4 wagons loaded during corresponding period of the last year.
The average loading of wagons per day during the current financial year upto March 20 has been 5,490.4 as against 5,136.2 wagons achieved during the corresponding period of previous year, the sources added.
