Larsen and Toubro (L&T) is trading higher by 1% at INR 1,232 after the company said it has secured international order worth INR 3,655 crore from ASHGHAL (Public Works Authority), state of Qatar for design and construction of Al Wakrah Bybass Road.
L&T said in a press release, the scope of work involves construction of 11 kilometer (km) road consisting of 10 lanes and four future lane sections with additional collectors/distributor roads, frontage roads and ramps.
The project is scheduled to be finished in 32 months.
The stock opened at INR 1,219 and touched a high of INR 1,238 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). A combined 632,000 shares changed hands on the counter so far on the NSE and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
