Logistics service provider Knights of Old has acquired three new double-deck trailers to offer its services in Ireland.
There are already 21 double deck trailers in the company's current fleet of over 230 trailers.
The new trailers, which will be used for the movement of 65,000 pallets to and from Ireland each year, will enter operation by March 2014.
Manufactured by SDC Trailers, with the capacity to hold up to 54 pallets each, the trailers accommodate the new Irish regulation for vehicle heights of 4.65m.
Knights of Old group managing director Ian Beattie said, "We need to invest in new equipment to assist with the increasing demand as well as the new technologies which ensure our reliability."
