Construction firm Ashoka Buildcon has been selected as the lowest bidder for INR 292 crore road projects in Maharashtra by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) for upgrading two highway stretches in the state.
"Ashoka Buildcon Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for these projects at the bid opening meeting held on February 21, 2014. The aggregate cost of the projects is INR 292.03 crore," the company said.
The projects are pertaining to rehabilitation and upgradation of NH-222 from end of Malshej Ghat to start of Ane Ghat section and Ane-Ghat to start of Ahmednagar bypass section in Maharashtra to two lanes with paved shoulders.
Both the projects would be implemented under National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase IV on engineering, procurement and construction basis.
The company had submitted its bids to the Public Works Department, Government of Maharashtra represented by Chief Engineer (National Highways) engaged by MoRTH.
