Menlo Worldwide Logistics, a subsidiary of Con-way Incorporated, the US freight trucking outfit, has acquired the order to supply Dutch internet wine merchants WijnWagentje with a complete supply chain solution maintaining all aspects of the e-commerce function, including order processing, warehousing, packaging, stock control and distribution from its facility at Eersel in the southern part of the Netherlands. The scope of the operation covers all parts of the Netherlands and includes the whole range of the Italian wine specialist's online inventory.
As a new e-commerce/e-fulfilment customer WijnWagentje's operation went live in mid-May. Menlo currently dispatch daily, direct to consumer addresses via parcel carrier across the Netherlands. Customers ordering on line purchase cases of wine with the option of mixed cases. Wicher van den Bosch, the co-Founder of WijnWagentje comments:
