For the second year running Midlands-based Global Freight has assisted MSS Bathams Kawasaki with its 2012 sponsorship of the leading British Superbike team and the forwarding group saw newly signed racing legend Michael Rutter not only join the two man line up but take a podium finish with his battling third place in the first race of the season, at Brands Hatch. MSS Bathams Kawasaki team boss, Nick Morgan, said:

Riding alongside Michael Rutter in the senior team this year is Peter Hickman, who is stepping up from an impressive 2011 performance in the privateer class. Michael Rutter, nicknamed 'The Blade', is one of the most experienced riders in the BSB field, noted as the master of wet conditions and the record-breaking seven times winner of the prestigious Macau GP road race, including as current champion of that event. |
