GAC Thailand has signed a three-year deal with jewellery exporter JewelsAgent.com. By proposing a package that included free zone warehousing and services at Lad Krabang, GAC offered the benefit of a 20 percent cost savings for JewelsAgent.com.
Inside the Free Zone, JewelsAgent.com will be able to assemble and pack their goods; and they will be exempted from all import duties and VAT, requiring licenses from the Industrial Estate of Thailand as well as the Thai Customs.
¡°The client was keen to cut costs so they could reduce the prices of their finished product. However, competition was fierce on cargo rates, so we had to get creative. And we came up with a win-win solution, by taking advantage of the benefits of Free Zone operations,¡± said Erez Agmoni, GAC Thailand¡¯s business development manager. |
