2008-7-3

Thai Airways has denied a local media report that it will pay US$300 million in fines to settle European Commission allegations of cargo price fixing.

THAI is among a host of airlines facing an EC probe into alleged fixing of surcharges and airfreight rates.

The carrier's president, Apinan Sumanaseni, reportedly told the Bangkok Post that the airline was prepared to admit guilt and pay fines of up to $300 million to settle the case.
