Newquay Airport has opened the doors to its new arrivals hall. The building marks the second stage of development in the last two years at the airport and is part of plans to increase the capacity of the terminal to cater for 700,000 passengers a year.
Al Titterington, airport operations director, said: ¡®The new arrival hall allows us to handle domestic and international flights simultaneously. It is geared towards a faster, smoother process for passengers transiting through the airport and improving the customer experience. With the increased number of international flights including Ryanair's Spanish flights, Lufthansa to Germany and ski destinations this winter by Air Southwest and Flybe, the new arrivals facility is a must.¡¯
The remaining terminal works are due to finish next month as the airport gears up for its busiest summer on record, with 23 routes being served throughout the UK and Europe. |
