Virgin in new Bond film

2008-6-2

The forthcoming Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace' sees Daniel Craig boarding a Virgin Atlantic plane. It will be the second Bond film in a row to feature the airline.

Virgin boss, Richard Branson, managed to land himself and his son a small cameo role in the last 007 picture, 'Casino Royale'. The were filmed being frisked at Miami airport's check-in while a few Virgin Atlantic planes appeared on screen shortly afterwards.

At the time British Airways was so upset that the 'offending' scenes were edited out when the film was shown as part of their in-flight entertainment programme. But press reports suggest that the Virgin Atlantic scene in the new film is so critical to the plot that a similar edit job will be impossible.
