AP Moller Singapore recently received the third in a series of 9,000-TEU containerships ordered from South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries.
The Maersk Alfirk is 323 metres (1,059 feet) long, 45.6 metres (149.6 feet) abeam a draws 22.8 metres (74.8 feet) of water.
The ship is powered by a Wartsila NSD 12RT-FLEX96C engine that can propel the vessel at 25.5 knots, reported American Shipper. |
