Aldata Solution, one of the global leaders in supply chain software for retail, wholesale and logistics companies, has achieved Symbol PLUS validation for its G.O.L.D. Vocal solution by successfully completing Motorola's Solution Validation Program. This designation will help assure customers of system interoperability between selected Motorola mobile computers and the G.O.L.D. Vocal solution. Aldata's G.O.L.D Vocal is an innovative PDA-based voice order picking solution, which recently won Best Solution in the ISV category, communications and mobility at IT Europa's European IT excellence awards.
Aldata, a Premier ISV within Motorola's PartnerSelect program, won against competition from 49 organisations in 16 countries for the implementation of the G.O.L.D Vocal solution at Leclerc Lecasud, the central buying and distribution group of French hypermarket chain, E Leclerc.
"The benefits brought by the implementation of G.O.L.D. Vocal include increased quality because the error rate is divided by eight," said Alain Robeau, support services director, Leclerc Lecasud. "It has increased productivity by approximately 12 percent and improved stock management because we can integrate perpetual inventory during order picking. The multi-modal opportunities offered by G.O.L.D. Vocal also enable us to consider redesigning other processes, such as truck loading. We can certainly see there may be additional gains in quality and productivity due to multi-modal processes, something which is not available in a voice-dedicated environment." |
