Schenker has established a joint-venture company with Vietnam's largest shipping agency, Gemadept, to run a new 15,000 square meter logistics hub in the Song Than Industrial Zone of Binh Duong Province, close to Ho Chi Minh City.
The joint venture, Schenker Gemadept Logistics Vietnam Ltd., will concentrate on warehousing and related contract logistics at the new facility, which is expected to be completed by April.
Schenker has been operating in Vietnam since 1991 and now has three offices with over 120 staff. In October, it joined the national market with a fully owned subsidiary, Schenker Vietnam Ltd., offering global air and ocean freight services. |
