Jordanian Logistics Association signs MOU with Royal Jordanian Airlines

The memorandum indicated a one year agreement for implanting the new cargo handling tariff at Queen Alia International Airport after negotiations between the two parties, that resulted in accomplishing mutual interest establishing stability for the shipping community in Jordan.

The MOU was signed by JLA Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Naouri, and RJ Vice President Cargo, Mr. Ingo Roessler, and will take effect November 1st 2007.

Royal Jordanian had initially planned to implement the tariff October 1st,2007 for all export and import air cargo. JLA immediately after its inception initiated the negotiations with RJ to improve and modify the conditions highlighting the impact of certain rules on logistics industry

RJ positively reacted to the JLA's initiative and both parties reached mutual consent on all issues during a series of working sessions, which were supervised by the CARC, Civil Aviation Commission.

The MOU is a tremendous achievement for the JLA and a first milestone in its mission as an official representative for the Jordanian Logistics and Freight Forwarding Companies with the aim to protect the interests of its members and developing the Logistics and Freight Forwarding Industry in Jordan and the region.
