Freight Summit delivers one-stop solutions shop

2010-6-2

This year's Freight Summit in Macao from September 21-26 aims to be a one-stop solutions provider for independent freight forwarders from around the world.

Hong Kong based RWSolutions has expanded the program from last year¡¯s successful event to include a diverse range of exhibitors to offer attendees ready access to products and services specifically designed to meet the needs of freight forwarders.

Freight Summit spokesperson Christian Raeuber said the event was open to all freight forwards and trade representatives without the need for membership of industry alliances or partnerships. This weeK Jctrans has made an interview with Christian Raeuber the CEO of the freight summit.

JCTrans: How would The Freight Summit benefit the Independent Forwarders?

Christian Raeuber: The Freight Summit offers a very cost-effective investment to network and discuss individual needs with service providers without being tied to specific international networks and their in-house activities that are restricted to members only. Shippers, air bridge services, software and hardware providers along with insurers and other professional service representatives would be available to meet and tailor solutions for attendees. The Freight Summit is an opportunity to meet face-to-face with like-minded independent operators who are committed to negotiating win-win solutions then and there.

JCTRans: What is the most impressive thing in your event?

Christian Raeuber: The Freight Summit, being the Pioneer in Open Networking, is the fastest growing Forwarder¡¯s Industry Event where successful forwarders build strong relationships from all over the world, keep close contact with the industry innovators and trends as a means to develop strategies for the future. The Freight Summit provides freight forwarders a neutral networking platform to interact with multiple alliances, hundreds of other independent international forwarders, logistics media and solutions providers in one place at the same time.

Forwarders have endless opportunities to network and develop new business opportunities, entertain agents and to be updated with most important current industry topics.

JCTrans: What should we expect in The Freight Summit 2010?

Christian Raeuber: This year, TFS has an expected attendance of 800 forwarders and 60 exhibitors from the different sectors and support services of the freight industry. Prominent industry experts and key personnel from freight forwarding companies, logistics media, associations and solutions providers were present to showcase their companies and services in their booths at the exhibition.
