JCtrans: Hi Hughes Justine, glad that I have a chance to make an interview with you. Would you please make a brief introduction about your company first?
Riaz Raheeman: International Freight Service Company(referred as IFS) is an ISO 9001:2008 certified and fast growing Mauritian company specialized in transport and logistics industry and is incorporated under the chairmanship of Mr. Riaz Raheeman. Our core businesses are sea and air transportation and we have dedicated to train staff members with most adapted tools to provide the best services to our customers. We try our best to develop worldwide business skills, be the right partner at the right place for our customers.Being a premium member of JCtrans network allows us to provide supply chain management services in ports and airports around the world.
JCtrans: As we know, you have many customers all over the world, would you please talk about how could you get so many loyal customers?
Riaz Raheeman: First I think our business is very completed. Customers who come to our company could get the service they want. Our business includes sea freight forwarders, air freight forwarders, customs brokers, inland transportation, express warehouse, air, ocean land transportation and door-to-door services. Second, service is also very important, our one to one service culture ensures the safe handling of customers'shipments. We are assured that we take our responsibilities very seriously to the data in relation with customers confidentiality. Our goal is to provide custom consultation, custom clearance, haulage, freight forwarding and excellent customer service, and utilize an experienced, highly trained staff and the latest technology to enhance trade facilitation and meet the challenge of a global economy in order to foster social economic growth. In addition, flexibility is critical in managing today's complex and changing supply chain. Manger should have a direction for the future of the company. And we should have the ability to deal with some accidents. We also should have to try our best to do some efforts which staffs could not see. For example, we have to establish fantastic relationship with major shipping lines operating in Mauritius. Then we could get more customers and our business could get better and better.
JCtrans: Would you please talk about the situation about the logistics industry and the third party of logistic forwarders in your country?
Riaz Raheeman: Because of the global crisis, the difficult economic situation we are facing. Years 2009-2010 will for sure provide us with huge challenges. The competition is more serious. We should get closer to our customers than ever before, be attentive to understand our business patterns and the direction where we are moving. As for the third part of logistic, the situation is also very rough. Many logistic companies go bankrupt, so they may lose many customers. And it is the time for third party of logistic work with logistic forwarders together. I think this may be effective for the logistics industry to pull through the hardship.
JCtrans: Would you please talk about your plan about next step?
Riaz Raheeman: We will work together with JCtrans to find more partners in the world. Although the situation is not very good, but I believe, under the efforts of both of us, we could have an outstanding achievement.
