Interview with Rasheed, the manager of Ridla Investment Nigeria Limited

Ridla Investment Nigeria Limited, incorporated under the Laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria and duly licensed by the Nigerian Customer Service, began operation in 2005. The Company is fully registered trading members of the British International Association (BIFA) and as such, fully meets the Associations' criteria in relation to the adoption of the BIFA Standard (2000/B) Trading Conditions, Liability Insurance, BIFA Code of Conduct and employment of a minimum number of professionally qualified staff. Participation is also undertaken in the Association, New Exporter Initiative Scheme, which provides companies entering the export market for the first time with professional help and advice.

JCtrans: Glad to have a chance to make an interview with you, would you please talk about your core-competitiveness firstly?

Rasheed: The core competitiveness of our company is the fundamental element for developing our company including reasonable price and customer service. In fact, we all know the reasonable price is very important to logistics forwarders. But service is more important in my opinion. The service not only means attitude to serve your customers. You should have a completed service process we call it service chain. Before you take the load, you should know about what dose the customer really want, after delivery, you should get a feedback from your clients to know which points they are not content with. In five years running experience, integrity service system makes us build reliable and desirable business partnership with all companies we have business transaction with.

JCtrans: How dose your company have a stand place in this economic environment?

Rasheed: As a new company. Credit is very important. You can imagine, at first nobody knows your company and nobody knows your service. How could you find your market? That means when you get a customer, they like to entrust his cargo to you. You should do what you promised whatever the hardship is. Then when you served one customers well, he will introduce you to all their partners and friends. Then you could have a market share. With the cooperation of partners and some other branch offices, our company could be able to provide a full range of freight forwarding, management services and logistics solutions on a global basis. We can successfully serve our valued customers efficiently, confidently and punctually.

JCtrans: Which line is the hottest line in your country?

Rasheed: I think the hottest line is China -Nigeria. Most of business between Nigeria and other country are all from China. And some Chinese merchandisers even invest in Nigeria to establish their own enterprises to process the products. After processing, they transfer them back to China. Most of our company's business is also from China. We hope to find more partners in China in future.


JCtrans: You are one of the members of FIATA, and you have intention to join JCtrans, would you please talk about the difference you think between logistic online and the common logistic?
