JCtrans: Would you please make a brief introduction about your company?
Marcin: RGW Express Warsaw was established in 1990 as a part of RGW Express Group - freight forwarding companies focused on the Eastern European countries market. At the beginning we focused on courier market and we were representing companies like Airborne Express and DPD in Poland. However, monitoring the market needs, we developed very promptly, full range of services including heavy airfreight and ocean freight service. Nowadays we are professional freight forwarder supporting our customers and partners with any kind of forwarding and logistics needs. Our Warsaw office and warehouses are located directly at WAW airport with direct access to the airfield. We operate own bonded warehouse and we employ own customs brokers. It gives us the advantage of faster handling and better control on any air shipments handled by us at Warsaw. Of course we are IATA Cargo Agent.
JCtrans: In China, because of the financial crisis, price battle becomes the main competitive tools, how about your country? Dose this phenomenon also exist?
Marcin: We know that current market is tough. Recent year, it shows how much price sensitive it is - especially during world economy downturn. On the other hand, the last quote showed how much the service quality and operating knowledge is worth in times of limited capacity and rapid race of freight rates. Our motto always was: the service is first - it still keeps valid as doesn't matter how low your rates are, you will not succeed without top quality service. Our customers emphasize that the costs are important but more important is confidence and certainty.
JCtrans: What do you think the key point to be stronger and stronger for a logistics enterprise in the market when competition is getting tougher?
Marcin: We keep our commitments and they can always rely on us. That's why customer service and close contact with customers are our priorities. Our officers are available around the clock for our worldwide partners and customers. Such operation structure allows us to offer our help at any time and at any place and for any forwarding and logistics needs. Besides regular cargo, we organize charter flights with top urgent spare parts for automotive industry, on board couriers with spare parts for stopped production line and time sensitive biomedical shipments including medicals and diagnostic specimens in controlled temperature.
JCtrans: And new year is coming, please talk about your plan about your company.
Marcin: Our plans for 2010 are to stay the independent logistics operator offering costs effective but top quality. We are not afraid about the future as last two years showed that we can easily compete with integrators and big worldwide forwarding companies by quality and flexibility. I'm also sure that Polish economy (the only EC economy presenting GNP increase in 2009) will keep the significant growth in 2010.
