Beijing Worldsequence Forwarding Co. Ltd is an international logistic company which is specializing in cargo transportation both by sea and air between China and worldwide. And JCtrans has interviewed their boss Alice recently to share with her about her story.
JCtrans: At the end of 2009, I think most of logistic people have their thoughts and feelings, would you please talk about yours?
Alice: 2009 seems a memorable year to all logistic people. As we know, the financial crisis attacked the global ecnomic system. Firstly, export and import industry was suffered deathblow. Then logistic area was affected seriously. Many companies closed down.To a new logistic company like ours, it is really a huge ordeal. But we do not lose confidence, we regard this ordeal as a new chance. Trough analysis, import is beneficial from this crisis because of US dollars' devaluation. So immediately we transfer our main business to explore import business to fit for the market. Finally we get an outstanding effect with our good attitude and firm will. Now We have already established good cooperation relationship with more than 30 oversea agencies of main ports.
JCtrans: According to some reports on August, because of the recovery of domestic trading, the throughput of the
port is increasing, what do you think of the phenomenon?
Alice: Yes, I feel the market is better and better recently. It has been showed from our business quantity that more people quotation and the deal volume is also increasing This good news boosts our confidence. And our sales seize this chance and try their best to develop new customers. Come to think of it, I have to mention our training system. We pay more attention to cultivate the talents to adapt to our company and the whole market. We have a special train class to our sales,when a new sales join us. Now the sales in our company all have strong ability to explore market. And I am proud to say that due to their contributions our company has got stronger and stronger in this crisis.
JCtrans: Recently, logistic area has a very famous word called logistics digitalization, and even someone say this is a way for small-- midsized logistic enterprises to raise dead, would you please talk about your opinion?
Alice: Logistics digitalization is more and more important. Such as application of ERP system on logistics. But to a new and small scale company, I think presently the most effective way is to cooperate with the information platform, certainly this is the basic way of logistics digitalization. For example, now we are the GCP of JCtrans, and we cooperated with this platform to gain some useful information. In some extent, this boosts the whole logistic chains to become complete. And we also could gain a lot of customer recourses from this platform.
