European Logistics Association, ELA, the European Logistics Association is the most influential logistics organization in Europe. ELA is a federation of 30 national organizations, covering almost every country in Central and Western Europe. ELA introduced a set of Standards in Supply Chain and Logistics management, which forms the foundation for the European Certification Board for logistics(ECBL) to certify individuals who meet these Standards. Presently, ELA keep a tide communication with more than ten thousand logistics managers and is very important in the world. In 2006, CHEER FOUNDATION was authorized by ELA as the sole agent in China established the Shanghai ELA Certification Center.

In 2009, there will be17,000 assistant logistics managers, logistics managers and senior logistics managers, while only 292 senior Logistics manager among them. Now, logistics elites have been listed one of twelve shortage talents. Due to rapid development, more logistics talents will be needed in China, especially senior talents. Experts predict that more than 700,000 talents are needed to meet the market demand except existing personnel. 300,000 and 400,000 logistics talents will be needed and more than 1,000,000 trainees will appear in 2013.
