Japan's unemployment rate fell 0.1 percent to 4 percent in the month of November, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said on Tuesday.

This was the 12th consecutive monthly fall and the total number of people unemployed is now down to 2.59 million, the ministry said.

Analysts said the declining unemployment rate was evidence of a tighter labor market in Japan, the ministry reported.
