A Salzburg 2014 delegation joined representatives from Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2014 at the World Sport for All Congress in Cuba, which included Salzburg’s Mayor Dr. Heinz Schaden, Bid leader Fedor Radmann, Dr. Heinz Jungwirth, Secretary General of the Austrian Olympic Committee, and Dr. Andreja Wieser, head of the International Relations department.
Salzburg 2014 officials made a presentation to the congress explaining the advantages of Salzburg’s 2014 bid during a number of meetings, conversations and discussions and were able to address IOC President Jacques Rogge and around 20 IOC members.
Fedor Radmann, leader of the bid said, “it is essential that we make use of every opportunity and do not drop our guard. Sochi and PyeongChang are such strong and ambitious candidates that we can only compete with them through great commitment and effort”.
